I never leave comments about how bad or GOOD (in this case) service is or isn't. I, like many, was very skeptical about the chiropractor practice. Having never seen one, I wasn't sure what to expect... This was nothing short of a slice of Heaven! Dr. Abele was very kind, attentive, and most importantly INFORMATIVE! I was suffering and had tried everything I had known. Stretching, Massage Therapy, even weeks of Physical Therapy. I must say, I walked out of that appointment feeling like a new woman! In short... I was on the verge of scheduling an appointment with an orthopedist and expected to hear that surgery was needed. Instead, I followed a recommendation to see Dr. Abele. A chiropractic novice, I wasn’t sure of what to expect. Dr. Abele eliminated my pain in one visit. He was highly professional, thoroughly explained the treatment and gave some great advice as how to avoid similar injury. I’d certainly recommend seeing Dr. Abele if you are in any discomfort at all. ]]>Tue, 22 Mar 2011 15:38:53 GMThttps://www.austinsportandchiropractic.com/patient-reviews/jlI was a true chiropractic skeptic, and wound up seeing Dr. Abele by accident.  I thought he was a personal trainer at Salvation Studio.  When I first saw him, I had chronic migraines and low back pain which I thought was related to a herniated lumbar disc.  Dr. Abele, over three sessions, adjusted my cervical and lumbar spines,  figured out that my sacro-iliac joint was out of place, and adjusted it.  This was in January.  I have been pain free ever since.  I ultimately saw a neurosurgeon, even though I was no longer in pain, who told me I did not have a herniated disc, I had had a mis-aligned SI joint, and that Dr. Abele had corrected it chiropractically.  I have discontinued taking somewhat extensive pain medication as a result.  I cannot say enough about Dr. Abele, his diagnositc expertise and his competence as a chiropractor.  I am thrilled, to say the least.  I had been in pain for years.
]]>Tue, 22 Mar 2011 15:37:40 GMThttps://www.austinsportandchiropractic.com/patient-reviews/lsI've been to a few chiropractors before, so I thought I knew what to expect -- but Dr. Abele was a pleasant surprise.  He was very thorough in diagnosing and addressing the pain I've been experiencing in my shoulder for a couple months.  I've seen several doctors about my shoulder so far and had had zero luck in eliminating the pain, which flares up every time I swim (I'm a triathlete).  

For the first time in about two months, I was able to sleep through the night without pain.  It really does feel great, for the first time since the pain started.

I've got an old neck injury that requires occasional upper cervical care, which is hard to find (and, untreated, can lead to some nasty aches and pains). Dr. Abele is very experienced in that area, and has helped me keep those issues under control. I also developed some leg/hip issues, which he worked on and has provided great relief from.

I like that he spends time and listens to gain an understanding of what's going on and he doesn't randomly do an adjustment.

Finally, my husband, always skeptical of chiropractic care, went to see Dr. Abele out of desperation (for both of us!). Dr. Abele spent a lot of time with him, particularly on the first visit, which gave him some immediate relief. The follow up visit, the next day, was a HUGE improvement - great enough that he was able to get on a plane and fly across country.
